Be part of history as Camden High Street transforms into a thriving space for the community with the official launch of its pedestrianisation trial - creating a healthier, safer and more enjoyable place for residents, businesses and visitors.

Erica McKoy will be hosting the day.

Highlights of the day include:

• Folk Dance Remixed will be performing a unique fusion of traditional folk and contemporary street dance.

• A celebration of Camden’s Irish heritage, featuring live music and performances from friends of The London Irish Centre - London Bodhrán Band & Jig and a Swig

• Linett Kamala will be DJing, playing a cross-genre selection across Camden’s six-decade journey. Expect party anthems, sing-alongs, and some collective dancing!

• Arts & crafts sessions – perfect for the whole family.

Since its creation in 1965, the borough of Camden has been a creative powerhouse and cultural landmark. Camden at 60: The Big Street Party is a free, community-centred event that celebrates Camden’s 60-year legacy while also commemorating VE Day 80, remembering 80 years since Victory in Europe Day.

This event is currently booked up but will be accepting walk-ups on the day from 2pm. This is a free but very popular event so entry is on a first-come, first-served basis - even for ticket holders - because space is limited. For more information, please read our FAQs
